|The Goonies ARE good enough.

This weekend is the 25th Anniversary of one of the greatest films of the '80s: The Goonies! |
In celebration, there's a Goonies-themed art show at Oregon's Lunar Boy Gallery. You can visit the gallery in Astoria (where the movie was filmed!), or view the art online:
BADICAL! Some sweet pieces there -- including one by my pal John Hoffman, of Chunk doing the Truffle Shuffle.
I also recommend renting The Goonies on DVD. There's a great commentary by the director and most of the cast, including video of them doing the commentary. (They're all grown up. *sniffle*) Plus you get the movie itself in all its wonderfulness: pirate treasure, corpses, caves, boobytraps and wiseacre teens -- a rousing adventure! It's like if someone rolled Indiana Jones, Treasure Island, and Sixteen Candles into one film, with '80s music.
